Captain and 7 Soldiers Martyred in Lakki Marwat Blast

Tragedy struck in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as seven valiant Pakistan Army personnel, including a dedicated captain, were martyred in a cowardly improvised explosive device (IED) attack. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the heartbreaking news, revealing the names of the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation.

The fallen heroes, identified as Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas and six other soldiers, namely Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir, Lance Naik Muhammad Anwar, Lance Naik Hussain Ali, Sepoy Asad Ullah, Sepoy Manzoor Hussain, and Sepoy Rashid Mehmood, hailed from various districts across Pakistan. Captain Faraz Shaheed’s impending wedding, scheduled for June 19, added a poignant layer to the tragedy, reported Geo News.

In the aftermath of the despicable attack, security forces swiftly initiated the sanitization of the area to eradicate any lurking terrorists. The ISPR vowed to pursue the perpetrators of this heinous act relentlessly, ensuring that justice is served for the fallen soldiers and their families.

“The security forces of Pakistan are resolute in their commitment to eliminating the menace of terrorism, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers only strengthen our resolve,” affirmed the ISPR.
