Kakul, Pakistan: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir on Saturday issued a stern warning to India, declaring that there is “no space for war in a nuclearised environment.” He emphasized that Pakistan will not be intimidated or coerced by aggressive rhetoric and stands fully prepared to respond decisively to any provocation, no matter how minor.
Speaking at the passing-out parade of the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul, the Army Chief delivered a powerful message on national security, regional stability, and Pakistan’s unwavering defence resolve. His remarks came at a time of heightened regional tensions and growing international concern over South Asia’s fragile peace.
Field Marshal Munir cautioned that Pakistan’s restraint should not be mistaken for weakness, adding that the armed forces remain vigilant and ready to act in defence of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Pakistan will not be coerced or intimidated by rhetoric. We will respond decisively, without hesitation, even to a minor provocation,” he asserted.
He described India as a “treacherous enemy marked by strategic blindness, arrogance, and misguided hegemonic ambitions.” The Army Chief underscored that Pakistan had once again triumphed over adversarial designs, reaffirming the country’s military competence and national unity.
The COAS also criticised India’s “politicisation of terrorism”, accusing New Delhi of manipulating narratives for political gain. He said India’s “aversion to neutral investigations” and its “self-created evidence” highlight the ruling regime’s vested interests and attempts to divert attention from domestic challenges.
“India’s eagerness to adjudge culpability, aversion to neutral investigations, and staking self-created evidence was indicative of politicisation of terrorism for vested political interests,” he noted.
This statement echoes Pakistan’s consistent stance that regional peace cannot be achieved through blame games, but rather through dialogue and mutual respect for sovereignty.
Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the armed forces of Pakistan for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders since its creation. He said that with the full support of the people, the military has repeatedly defended both external and internal frontiers with courage and conviction.
“Ever since the creation of Pakistan, the armed forces, with full support of the nation, have defended the country’s frontiers with unfailing resolve, conviction, and pride,” he said.
The Army Chief also referred to the recent military operations — Marka-i-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos — describing them as a display of Pakistan’s military professionalism and strategic strength. He said these operations have restored confidence among citizens and neutralised all threats with remarkable precision and capability.
In his address, Field Marshal Munir highlighted the unity of the Pakistani nation, saying that people of all ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds stood together like a “wall of steel” during testing times. He commended the patriotism and resilience shown by citizens across the country.
“People of all hues and colours, age, gender, ethnicity or creed stood firm and tall like a wall of steel, leading to a renewed spirit of patriotism and national fervour,” he remarked.
He added that the collective success of the nation had reignited the proud memories of Pakistan’s past military achievements and further unified the country against any internal or external challenge.
Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed that the armed forces remain the cornerstone of Pakistan’s national power, trusted with the responsibility to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state. He said the trust between the people and the military remains unshakable.
“It has reinforced confidence, particularly among the youth, that the armed forces of Pakistan are an essential element of national power and trusted with protecting the sovereignty of the state,” he said.
The Army Chief’s message reflected a renewed emphasis on national solidarity and institutional confidence, aligning with the military’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public trust.
The passing-out parade marked the commissioning of cadets from multiple courses, including the 37th Technical Graduate Course, the 71st Integrated Course, and the 26th Lady Cadet Course. A total of forty cadets from friendly countries — including Iraq, Maldives, Yemen, and Palestine — also completed their training and joined the ceremony, symbolising Pakistan’s growing defence cooperation with partner nations.
The event was attended by senior military officials, diplomats, and dignitaries, celebrating the academy’s role in producing officers known for discipline, leadership, and dedication.
Field Marshal Munir’s remarks also served as a message to the international community, emphasising the importance of stability in South Asia. He reiterated that Pakistan seeks peace, not confrontation, but will always defend itself against aggression.
Observers believe his comments were aimed at deterring escalation while reinforcing Pakistan’s nuclear deterrence doctrine, which maintains that strategic equilibrium in the region is essential to prevent miscalculations.
