Gold rates in Pakistan continued their upward trend, reflecting the international surge in the value of the yellow metal. On Saturday, gold reached Rs223,600 per tola in the local market, marking a substantial single-day gain of Rs3,100.
The 10-gram gold price also experienced an increase, reaching Rs191,701 after a gain of Rs2,658. These rates were provided by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
In the international market, gold held a premium of $20 on Saturday, settling at $2,091 per ounce after a $31 increase, according to APGJSA.
On the other hand, silver rates remained stable at Rs2,620 per tola.
The past week witnessed a notable sparkle in the yellow metal’s prices in Pakistan, with the per tola cost witnessing a surge of Rs7,100, driven by the escalating rates in the global market. As gold continues to be influenced by international market dynamics, its prices in Pakistan respond to the broader trends in the precious metals sector.
