Karachi Traffic Police have issued a special traffic and parking plan for the Musical Night at National Stadium Karachi on the evening of August 13, 2025, as part of 78th Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq celebrations. The plan aims to ensure smooth traffic flow, organized parking, and minimal disruption for commuters across the city.
The Musical Night is expected to attract thousands of attendees, prompting the traffic police to implement controlled entry and parking arrangements.
- Vehicles with official event stickers will be granted entry through Gates 1 and 11 of the National Stadium.
- General parking for attendees without official passes has been arranged at Expo Centre and China Ground, both located near the stadium premises.
According to the official Karachi Traffic Police statement, only vehicles with designated passes will be allowed within the stadium boundaries, while all others will be directed to the allocated parking zones.

Authorities have introduced a shuttle bus service to make transportation easier for those parking away from the stadium.
- District Central residents are advised to approach the Expo Centre via Hassan Square. From there, they can board shuttle buses that will transport them directly to the stadium gates.
- Residents of District South, East, and Malir should use China Ground parking, accessible through Karsaz, New Town, or Rashid Minhas Road. Shuttle services from China Ground will also be available to and from the event venue.
This arrangement is designed to reduce congestion around the stadium and improve the experience for visitors.
The Karachi Traffic Police have warned of heavy traffic on major roads leading to the stadium, particularly during the evening hours. The following routes are expected to experience the most congestion:
- Sir Shah Suleman Road
- National Stadium Road
- Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road (Karsaz)
To avoid unnecessary delays, commuters not attending the event have been urged to use alternative routes.
For those not participating in the celebrations, the police have suggested several alternative corridors to bypass the stadium area:
- University Road
- Shaheed-e-Millat Road
- Rashid Minhas Road
- NIPA Chowrangi
These routes are expected to be less congested and will help maintain smooth citywide traffic movement during the event.
Authorities have also issued a set of advisories to ensure safety and security for all:
- Arrive early to avoid last-minute congestion.
- Use public transport or shuttle services where possible to reduce parking demand.
- Follow police instructions and only park in designated areas to prevent towing or fines.
- Keep entry passes or stickers visible on dashboards for quick access through security points.
Karachi Traffic Police emphasized that security will be heightened, with personnel stationed along all entry routes, parking areas, and stadium access points.
The Musical Night is part of the city’s broader Independence Day festivities, celebrating Pakistan’s 78th year of freedom. It also ties into the Marka-e-Haq commemorations, honoring recent national achievements. Large-scale cultural events like this have become a staple of Karachi’s August celebrations, attracting diverse audiences from across the metropolitan area.
The traffic management plan reflects Karachi Police’s ongoing commitment to balancing public enjoyment of such events with the city’s broader mobility needs.
