Security forces successfully neutralized 23 terrorists belonging to the Indian-backed Fitna Al Khawarij group in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kurram District, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Thursday. These operations are part of a sustained national counterterrorism campaign targeting foreign-sponsored militancy in Pakistan.
According to the ISPR, the initial operation was conducted after security agencies received credible intelligence about the presence of a terrorist group in a specific location. “Own troops effectively engaged the Khawarij position. Following an intense exchange of fire, 12 terrorists were killed, ensuring the elimination of a significant threat in the area,” the ISPR stated.
