The leading motorcycle manufacturer in Pakistan, has taken a significant step to broaden its lineup of mid-sized motorcycles by launching the Honda CG150. Priced at Rs459,900, this new model is specifically designed for riders who value performance, fuel efficiency, and reliability—three key qualities often sought after in Pakistan’s growing two-wheeler market.

With the introduction of the Honda CG150, Atlas Honda aims to strengthen its presence in the 150cc motorcycle segment—a category that continues to gain popularity among Pakistani commuters. The company already enjoys over 50% market share in the motorcycle industry and is well-known for its durability and service network across the country. This launch further cements Honda’s intent to cater to a wide spectrum of users, from entry-level commuters to those seeking higher performance.

According to the official details published on Atlas Honda’s website, the CG150 is powered by a 4-stroke, single overhead camshaft (SOHC), air-cooled engine. The engine boasts a bore and stroke of 57.3 x 57.8mm, offering a strong balance between power and efficiency. With a displacement of 149.2cc, the CG150 can generate a maximum output of 8.75 kW (11.9 PS) at 7,500 rpm and torque of 12.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm, making it a solid performer for daily commuting and longer rides.

The 5-speed constant mesh transmission ensures smoother gear transitions, while riders have the convenience of both self-start and kick-start options. The compression ratio of 9.1:1 further enhances engine performance, contributing to fuel efficiency without compromising power delivery.

Designed for both urban and semi-rugged terrains, the Honda CG150 comes equipped with telescopic front suspension offering 119mm of fork travel, and a twin rear cushion suspension with 91mm travel. These features provide enhanced shock absorption, making it comfortable for both short city rides and longer inter-city commutes.

The seating height is maintained at 773mm, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of riders, while a ground clearance of 171mm helps the bike glide over road bumps with ease. This makes the CG150 an ideal companion for Pakistan’s diverse road conditions.

For improved road grip and stability, the CG150 is equipped with 2.75-18 front and 90/90-18/C rear tyres. The motorcycle has a fuel tank capacity of 11.4 litres, including a 2.1-litre reserve, ensuring long-range rides without frequent refueling stops.

The wheelbase of 1,316mm offers better weight distribution and balance, especially during high-speed rides. The overall dimensions of the bike—2,066mm in length, 773mm in width, and 1,069mm in height—make it a well-proportioned machine that balances agility and stability.

The CG150 continues Honda’s tradition of using a chain-based final drive, a standard in this segment for its durability and ease of maintenance. This type of drivetrain is well-suited for varying terrains across Pakistan and has proven to be reliable over extended periods of use.

The release of the CG150 positions Atlas Honda directly in competition with other mid-sized offerings in the Pakistani motorcycle market. With rising fuel prices and an increasing need for reliable commuting options, the demand for 150cc motorcycles has grown significantly. Honda’s reputation for after-sales service, resale value, and product reliability offers it a strong edge over competitors like Yamaha and Suzuki in this category.

The CG150 is expected to appeal to urban professionals, delivery riders, and even rural users who require a sturdy machine that can withstand daily use with low maintenance.

The launch comes at a time when Atlas Honda is reporting strong financials. For the quarter ending June 30, 2025, the company posted net sales of Rs62.3 billion, reflecting a 31% increase over the same period last year. Additionally, gross profits rose from Rs4.6 billion to Rs7.8 billion, highlighting growing demand and efficient cost management.

This financial momentum suggests that Atlas Honda is well-positioned to support product expansion, such as the CG150, while maintaining profitability and investor confidence.

With the Honda CG150, Atlas Honda continues to build on its reputation as Pakistan’s most trusted motorcycle brand. The new bike combines powerful performance, fuel efficiency, and riding comfort, making it a compelling option in the 150cc motorcycle category. The attractive pricing and feature set are likely to draw attention from a wide customer base, reinforcing Honda’s dominance in the market.

As the motorcycle industry in Pakistan continues to evolve with digital integration, growing demand, and changing commuter needs, products like the CG150 are setting the tone for future innovation.
