NADRA Introduces Verification History Feature in Pak ID App to Enhance Digital Identity Security

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken another major step toward strengthening digital identity security in Pakistan by introducing a new feature called “Verification History” in the latest version 5.4.2 of the Pak ID app. The update is designed to give citizens greater transparency and control over how their personal identity information is being used across public and private platforms.

According to NADRA officials, the newly launched feature allows users to view where, when, and by which organization their CNIC or other identity documents have been verified. This marks a significant shift toward citizen empowerment in digital governance, as individuals can now monitor the usage of their identity data in real time.

The Verification History feature is accessible through a dedicated tab in the Pak ID app’s menu. It displays a detailed log of identity verifications conducted using various authentication methods, including:
